Sample Tour 1 - Golf, Whisky Tour & Motor Racing experience
5 day & night tour - i.e. Thursday - Tuesday

Thursday

9am: arrive at Edinburgh airport, you will be picked up and taken to the 4 Star - MACDONALD Cardrona Hotel Golf & Country Club in Peebles.

Cardrona Hotel Golf

Check into the hotel for the 1st nights stay before heading out to play 18 holes of the championship Cardrona course boasting over 7000 yards (72 par), before retreating back to the hotel for dinner in the award winning Renwicks Restaurant which is surrounded by the stunning views of the Peeblesshire countryside incorporating the championship course.

There is also an 18 metre pool, sauna, steam room & technogym facilities available on site as well (local charges may apply).

Friday

Friday morning - After breakfast you will check out and we will head onto North Berwick and play on the Glen golf course where you will play the 18 hole East Links course and having a 2 course lunch afterwards.

Friday Afternoon - We will then depart the Glen course and make our way the multi award winning MACDONALD Marine Hotel & Spa in North Berwick, where after check-in you will have an afternoon round on the North Berwick, Championship West Links Course

North Berwick Golf After the round you will return to the hotel for dinner in the double AA Rosette award winning Craigleath restaurant and perhaps afterward go and mingle with other guests in one of the Links bar, sea view lounge, library, drawing room or conservatory, and share a malt whisky or two round a log fire chatting of your day's golf. Alternatively the hotel also has leisure and spa facilities should you wish to relax and unwind. (local charges may apply).


Saturday

Depart Saturday morning after a hearty Scottish breakfast, heading straight into the centre of Edinburgh, you can chose from an almost endless list of attractions including Edinburgh Castle, tour the Whisky Heritage Building close to the castle, take a sightseeing tour of Edinburgh on an open top bus or have a wander round the countless other areas of interest as well as the world famous Princes Street.

Saturday Afternoon - depart Edinburgh and head to the Home of Golf, St.Andrews.

Sunday, Monday

Staying in MACDONALD Rusacks Hotel for 3 full nights dinner, bed and breakfast.

The Rusacks hotel overlooks the famous 18th green of the Old Course itself; you will also have the pleasure of dining in the multi award winning Old Course Restaurant and sharing a drink in the Old Course bar.

Your time at St.Andrews can be split up to include a variety of activities such as:
  • A half day visiting the British golf museum in St. Andrews
  • A half day driving experience at Knockhill a short distance from St.Andrews where you will race on Scotland's premier race circuit, many different types of packages available from go-karting to rally to single seater action.
  • And of course the golf...

On average you can fit in between 4 and 5 rounds on the biggest courses that are in the local area, starting off with the one and only Old Course (subject to ballot)

Golfing St. Andrews

There are six more courses in the St Andrews links course list which are The New Course, Eden, Jubilee, Balgove, Strathyrum & Castle courses and there are also the Kingsbarns and the Dukes courses as well, you really are spoiled for choice in the home of golf.

Another possibility is a 50 mile journey from St.Andrews taking you to the world famous 5 star Gleneagles resort where you can play a round on the PGA Kings Course.

Tuesday

Tuesday Morning - depart for Edinburgh airport

  • 5 x 18 holes on the St Andrews links courses (not including the Old Course)
Excluded
  • 18 holes on the Old Course as it is a ballot draw most days except low season when bookings are possible depending on dates and times
  • Knockhill driving experience (it is your choice, it can be booked for you and added onto total)
  • Any other foods bought out with the breakfast and dinner included with the rooms
  • All drinks
  • Any extras in the hotels, such as sauna - steam - jacuzzi - gym - massage etc these can be requested in advance or on arrival and paid for separately

We can take up to 16 golfers in each luxury mini-coach and prices can be figured out.
